We spent Thanksgiving 2009 in Chappells, SC with the Barnes family.

This year they were just down right mean to the trick or treaters!! Whitney and Tyler hid in the bushes and Casey lured them up the driveway with a warm fire and lots of candy. When they got close enough Whitney would jump out with her scary mask on and then as they were running away, Tyler threw fire crackers at them - all the while Casey is just laughing. I hid in the house and Hailey was out with her friends trick or treating!!! NOTE: They only did this to the middle schoolers, not the cute little kids.
Whitney turned the big 13 on October 27, 2009 at Chuck E Cheese!! When I asked her "Are you sure you want to have your 13th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese?" She was very sure and insisted that her friends would love it. One of the things that I love about Whitney is she is not a crowd follower...that girl does what she likes to do and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. I wish I could be more like that sometimes.

We finally decided it was time to start finishing the basement and we got off to a great start in October 2009. The idea was do something every month on the basement and it would be finished in no time...guess what we haven't done anything in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, and June. Oh well, that's how our home projects go for us. Maybe one day.....
Casey's dad came up and helped us out. Maybe if he comes back we can get some more work done.
